Let's Change The World Together

About ISF

International Sports Federation was established in 1993 as a faith-based nonprofit organization that seeks to change the world through sports. The universal attraction of sports encourages a connection among people. Through that connection, our volunteers are able to share their faith and reach out to people in other cultures all around the world!

ISF has developed an international network for sports missions with more than 750 missionaries in different parts of the world. We work with Christian individuals and organizations to fulfill God’s call to take the Gospel to all the nations.

Since 1993, we have mobilized more than 11,000 volunteers in more than 126 countries. For 29 years, our volunteers have participated in a variety of sporting events, global gatherings and served in humanitarian aid. From facilitating VBS in orphanages, to providing recreation opportunities at medical clinics and national level sports clinics, our teams are reaching the world!

Sports is a tool that we can use for a specific purpose. Our goal is not to leave behind better, stronger, faster athletes, but, through sports, we aim to build relationships that will prayerfully lead to an opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Each year we receive requests from missionaries, churches, orphanage administrators, government officials, and sports professionals who desire a team of volunteers to come and assist them in their efforts. We are a connection between those who need volunteers and volunteers who desire to serve on the mission field through sports.

We Believe

Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for salvation.

Our means for understanding and fulfilling God’s mission are prayer, Bible study, and revelation through the Holy Spirit.

We believe God blesses individuals with special gifts, talents, and skills.

Our obedience is to the lordship of Jesus Christ and to God’s infallible Word, the Holy Bible.

In giving all people the opportunity to hear, understand, and respond to the Gospel in their own cultural context and language.

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”

- I Peter 4:10-11 (NIV)
