Mission details

Cebu, Philippines - Pickleball

This is an opportunity to use your love of pickleball to share God's love. With a growing interest in pickleball, a number of clubs have been started and many people have been introduced to the sport in the city of Cebu. Our partner Olive Grove Christian Ministry has started its own club, and is using pickleball to reach nonbelievers. Because of the social nature of the sport, developing relationships is natural, and a great way to create avenues to share the Gospel.

What to Expect

This 10-day tour kicks off on July 7, flying out of the U.S. to the Philippines. Arriving on the 9th, the team will join Olive Grove Christian Ministry for worship and fellowship, and get to see their pickleball club in action on Sunday afternoon. The next days will include a city tour, a pickleball clinic in a local community, demo and open play at a children’s rescue institution and a shelter facility for women who were victims of human trafficking. The highlight of the project will be a 3-day Cebu Open Tournament - which will be attended by clubs from all over the Philippines - and the Community Family Festival (a fun day designed for families) where the team will help with a pickleball clinic. These are great opportunities to share the love of God and develop lasting relationships with the locals.
